The Mischievous Monkey

"HELP! My hat!" cried a terrified lady. A mischievous monkey had escaped from a nearby zoo and had just stolen the lady's hat. He ran off with it and did not stop until he reached a busy road.

Very soon, a lorry carrying a load of bananas, happened to pass by the monkey. It was attacted by the bananas and wasted no time in jumping onto the lorry. The monkey was hungry and helped itself to the delicious bananas. After eating, it threw the banana skin and it landed onto an unsuspecting passer-by's head.

The lorry soon came to a stop at a supermarket to deliver the basket full of bananas. Without wasting much time, the monkey jumped off the lorry and headed through the doors of the supermarket. It wandered through the aisles and saw a girl eating some colourful candies. The curious monkey grabbed the bag of candies, jumped onto a pile of can food, looked back at the girl and grinned before gobbling the candies and headed for the nearest exit.

Sally, the little girl, got a shock of her life and started to cry. Her mother, Mrs Tan, heard her cries and came rushing to her. "What's the matter?" asked Mrs Tan. Tears rolled down Sally's cheeks while she told Mrs Tan what had just happened. Mrs Tan was furious. Immediately, she informed the staff about the mischievous monkey. The staff managed to catch the monkey and alerted the zoo. Within an hour, everything was back to normal and the monkey was back in his cage.
